New Java Features Are Not Just for Interviews. Two Real-World Use Cases from Axelix
See how Axelix uses Java ScopedValue to propagate security context and sealed interfaces to protect domain invariants in real-world …
Axelix is an open-source platform, built by contributors to the Spring ecosystem, that shows engineers and their AI agents what is really happening inside running Spring Boot applications. In production, the problem is rarely the code you wrote. It’s an overridden property, a conditional bean that didn’t load, an entry served actually from the cache, or a JPA mapping that quietly turns into an N+1 query. Axelix makes all of that visible, and flags common misconfigurations before they turn into incidents.
You add the Axelix starter (Spring Boot 2, 3 or 4) and build plugin (Maven or Gradle) to your services, and they connect to Axelix Master. From there you can inspect beans, conditions, configuration properties and the effective environment, and work with loggers, caches, scheduled tasks, transactions and JPA entities across your whole fleet. Master also has a built-in MCP server, so AI agents like Claude Code or Cursor can debug your live Spring Boot services through the same view, instead of guessing from source code.
