Find Another Java Version
The OpenJDK project is the "mother of all Java's". It's a project you can find on GitHub and contains all the sources of Java. But the OpenJDK project doesn't produce the runtime you need to get Java on your computer. Many community projects and commercial companies produce the runtime you can download.
A few of them:
- Amazon Corretto: No-cost, multiplatform, production-ready distribution of OpenJDK.
- Azul Zulu: The world’s best supported builds of OpenJDK.
- Eclipse Temurin: Open source Java SE build based upon OpenJDK.
- Red Hat: Free and open source implementation of the Java Platform, Standard Edition.
And there are many more, as you can see in the Foojay Almanac with more information about the various versions, and in this video by Gerrit Grunwald!
